Helen Senior
Associate
Helen worked for 10 years as a project manager, business analyst and internal consultant with Baillie Gifford & Co, an Edinburgh based leading investment management partnership. Before that she trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers and Lybrand.
At Baillie Gifford, she project managed larger client accounts and supported the senior partners in innovative and sensitive projects. She has experience of developing innovative corporate processes and well developed expertise in:
- financial modelling
- advanced financial and management information systems
Helen enjoys building community where she lives, and is a local Councillor with particular responsibility for financial scrutiny.
She can be found in the local prison playing the organ for their church services and works with a leading London church to help develop courses for the workplace. In Edinburgh, Helen was on the board of a groundbreaking project to establish ethics within the business community (this model is now being adopted in cities in UK and around the world).
Helen is also a wife and mother of a young baby, has been known to ride horses, has sailed across the Bay of Biscay, stage-managed operas and plays real tennis. In quieter moments she can be found trying to do the Telegraph crossword or listening to “I'm Sorry I haven't a Clue” on Radio 4.
